YouTube Channel Banner Downloader

Download any YouTube channel's banner (channel art) at its original 2560×1440 resolution. Paste a channel link or @handle.

How to download a YouTube banner

  1. Find the channel. Open the channel on YouTube and copy its link, for example youtube.com/@MrBeast. You can also just type the handle.
  2. Paste it above. ThumbDL looks up the channel and loads its banner in full resolution.
  3. Download. The original banner file saves to your device, uncropped, exactly as the creator uploaded it.

Accepted formats: @handle, youtube.com/@handle, youtube.com/channel/UC…, youtube.com/c/name and youtube.com/user/name.

Why the downloaded banner looks bigger than on YouTube

YouTube crops channel banners differently on every device. On desktop you only see a thin strip across the middle. TVs show the whole image. ThumbDL downloads the full original upload, so you'll see parts of the banner that are normally hidden.

Frequently asked questions

How do I download a YouTube channel banner?

Copy the channel's link or handle, paste it into ThumbDL and press Get Banner. Then click Download to save the original banner image.

What resolution are downloaded banners?

You get the original file the creator uploaded. For most channels that's 2560×1440, which is YouTube's recommended banner size. Older channels may have smaller uploads.

Why does it say the channel has no banner?

Not every channel has uploaded channel art. If the channel shows a plain background on YouTube, there's no banner to download.

Can I download my own YouTube banner?

Yes. That's one of the most common uses. If you've lost the original file, paste your own channel link to get it back in full resolution.

Can I use another channel's banner?

Banners are the creator's artwork. Downloading one for reference or inspiration is fine, but don't reuse it on your own channel or commercially without permission.
